We are looking for a Registered Nurse/Clinic Coordinator to join our Student Health Services department at Simmons College. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Health Services, the Registered Nurse will assist in providing quality clinical health care to students and assist in the coordination of clinical program requirements.The Health Services department at Simmons is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the health of the student body through comprehensive and accessible primary health care.We endeavor to support students in the pursuit of their academic and personal growth through promotion of healthy behaviors and lifestyle choices.Responsibilities:Triage patients who call or present to office with urgent concernsCoordinate care of students with NP?s, MD?s and office staffProvide immunizations; first aid; nebulizer treatments and other nursing treatments as necessaryMonitor patients under observationRecord and track immunization using the immunization program in the Electronic Medical Record, MedicatAssist with Immunization Compliance in our EMR forstudents. Assist in care coordination with Nurse Practitioners and Physicians for students requiring care follow-up and outside referralsReview labs and communicate results to providers in a timely mannerFollow up with students on labs resultsEnsure department lab is CLIA compliantand maintain a fully stocked and up-to-date laboratoryAssist with check-in and phone coverage when necessaryOther responsibilities as assignedQualifications:Bachelor?s degree in NursingMinimum 3 years nursing experience.Acute or urgent care and triage experienceExperience in higher education setting preferredPosition Information:This is a part-time, 16-hour a week position during the academic yearInstructions to Applicants:Please submit a resume, cover letter, and two professional writing samples with your application in the Resume/CV section of your application. .As a College committed to diversity, Simmons encourages applications broadly.
