Advance Practice Nurse to work in our Comprehensive Health Evaluation for Children (CHEC) Program to provide medical examinations of children placed in foster care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide CHEC evaluations which include: a complete physical examination, developmental screening, diagnosis and treatment of any medical illnesses, recommendations for further assessment/consultation, and administration of vaccines and ordering of labs as needed.
Provide Pre-Placement Assessments which include: a complete physical examination and a plan to address any emergent medical needs.
Complete interim reports and final reports within expected time frames.
Communicate urgent findings and follow up as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Certified as either Clinical Nurse Specialist or a Nurse Practitioner/Advance Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey. At least two (2) years of related nursing experience preferably as an advanced practice nurse required. Experience with children/adolescents in foster care preferred.
