Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioner
RN – Nurse Practitioner – PN Gastroenterology
We are looking for a well-organized, motivated ARNP with strong interpersonal skills, independent thinking and dedication to excellent patient care to collaborate with hospital and clinic based digestive health teams of physicians and other advanced practice professionals. The position balances outpatient consultation and follow up of patients in a modern and inviting clinic space with participating in the dynamic consultative hospital service for GI patients at a large, state of the art medical center with a highly trained, collaborative diagnostic and interventional team. We envision hiring 2 compatible, full time ARNPs alternating between outpatient office and in patient service, both at 40 hours/week without weekend or call obligation. We see this as an ideal balance of outpatient and inpatient care with a fun, energetic and collaborative team that focuses on education and an ideal patient experience.
A graduate of an Accredited School of Nurse Practitioner Program (MSN or DNP)
Experience in an adult nurse practitioner, preferably with gastroenterology or other related medical or surgical areas.
A current California RN License
Nurse Practitioner License from the California Board of Registered Nursing
National Certification by recognized board – American Nurses Credentialing Center or American Academy
DEA license with the California Board of Registered Nursing
Prescribing privileges (NP furnishing license)
Demonstrated knowledge of psychiatric illnesses including addictions
The ability to manage patient’s health and illness and to plan, organize, manage time, and prioritize work in collaboration with others
The ability to be self-directed and motivated, to work independently, and be part of a multidisciplinary team
The ability to establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families
